FFXIV .exe Crashed

I logged into the launcher today and downloaded the update. The first time I clicked Play after the update I got blue screen of death. Restarted my PC and tried again. The second time when I pressed Play the game window opened but immediately a pop-up error came up in Japanese. According to a translating app it says "It ended due to an error 2025_08_06_12:59" followed by a list of .exe files and .dll files all with "+number/letter codes".

I restarted the launcher, updated my graphics drivers and have restarted my PC 2 times and every time I click play I get the error and the game crashes.

Help getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a solution for the unable to launch FFXIV updater error.

Go to:
C: Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

- Delete all the contents in there
- Right-click on the folder itself after deleting the contents
- If it is set as read only, please uncheck that
- Re-launch Final Fantasy XIV
