Oh look the servers are acting up again

I feel every time a DDOS is announced we should take a shot. Only we'd die.

Although I really wonder how much of it is a DDOS. I had to deal with those on WoW. They were a lot more insistent than obvious than this. I swear sometimes the servers here just...

Bleh.

The servers have been very unstable for me lately too, but I don't have the greatest internet connection so I don't know if I should blame that or DDOS. Do they announce when they are being attacked somewhere?

Only sometimes and it's on the lodestone. One happened earlier and you know because it's mentioned across FFXIV discord channels that people got disconnected. However, some report not getting disconnected but seeing 25-75% of the players in content disappear depending on the severity of the attack.

eu servers run perfect tho, never had any issues here the past months

It happened this morning during the reset hunt trains in Primal where dozens of people disconnected. Sounds like it may have been their ISP that was hit because I wasn't affected being in Central America.
