Weather Transition for special fishes

Hello All

Since I feel overwhelmed and losing the fun at the *cough*messy*cough* Stormblood msq, I take a break from it and take time for other activities, like progressing fishing.

My problem: For some fishes, it requires to have a specific weather transition within a specific time window. But when I check with the skywatcher tool, it seems impossible to obtain the winning combo time/weather change.

My question: Do I understand correctly? The fish will spawn only when the required weather sequence (so a specific change of weather) applies during the required time window for that fish?

Yes, they can have specific time and weather requirements. The skywatcher will only show the next few weather events.

However, it is mathematically possible to calculate what the weather will be 5 years from now. There are many websites that do just this and are used regularly by fishers such as carbuncleplushy.

It's also worth knowing that the weather changes at exactly 0000, 0800, 1600 Eorzea Time, even if the graphics don't update for a few minutes, so if you need a fish or sightseeing log entry that open at one of those times, it's the weather after the change that matters.
