Field Operation Feedback

Hi Everyone!

I don't typically interact with forums so this will likely be my first and last post. Below is just some feedback and potential solutions for Occult Crescent and field operations in general. A bit of background, I have played the game casually for over 10 years, I don't do Extremes or Savage but I basically do everything else (or intend too!).

These suggestions don't just apply to Occult Crescent. They could also be implemented into all field operations.

- Add a rotating set of daily quests that award operation specific rewards (Elemental XP, Resistance Rank, Knowledge Level, Eureka Crystals, Clusters, Silver/Gold Coins etc.)

- Add a Hunt Board with the following bills:
- 5 enemy types lower than the maximum field level (incentivising solo play)
- 5 enemy types higher than the maximum field level (incentivising group play)
- 1 targeted Notorious Monster / Critical Engagement
- Rewards would be similar to the daily quests.

- Similar to Deep Dungeon, allow the player to sacrifice some amount of field XP for a currency. This currency would allow players to purchase field specific resources (Eureka Fragment, Eureka Crystals, Timeworn Artifact, Aetherspun Gold etc.)

- This would incentivise players to play the content to regain the "spent" level.

This last suggestion would only apply to old field operations in order to incentivise players to return to the zones:

- Notorious Monsters / Skirmishes / Critical Engagements would reward Bicolor Gemstones.

I have plenty of feedback for other areas of the game but perhaps that's for another time. Happy shambling everyone! <3

Good Ideas

OC in particular lacks a reason to go back as a high playtime/low difficulty Player.
Eureka had the grind for multiple relics,
Bozja had relics + leveling,
OC has nothing to do after leveling the phantom jobs.

I believe their “equivalent” was meant to be gear but a lack of +2 options without forked really kinda kills the mood to get +1 even if itself is a decent grind

Those are fantastic ideas. I've wanted daily/weekly missions in these for forever and it would be an alternative in OC to gradually gain gold over time. I will add that repeatable quests could also work there. Maybe there's a quest to do this specific CE and it will award silver/gold. Then the daily and weekly missions award a higher amount of currency. Right now silver and gold acquisition are very divorced from each other and have you do wildly different things so we need options that bring that together a bit more.

I like the hunt board idea but they would need to make sure small or large groups could accomplish the objectives. Then going in with a small group of friends or making a random party of people in the zone both are valid options.

I don't know if I would agree with sacrificing exp if that would delevel you but maybe after max level your exp can start going toward this currency and then you spend it more like mettle for honors in Bozja.

Love the bicolor gemstone idea. I am not a fan of Eureka or Bozja fate farming but I might be able to be convinced to go spend time there for bicolor gemstones so you could attract people who aren't interested in the other rewards.

Agreed. I’m now at the point where I’ve done the grind for all the rewards and/or found them in chests, I have a full set of +1 gear, and maxed out all my Phantom jobs. I wanted to get the healer and tank sets too, but I currently have 3 pieces of the healer set and each is 4000 silver. That’s 20 CEs per piece! Last night I just couldn’t find the desire to do it. Especially with no Normal mode for Tower, and +2 gear seeming out of reach, even though I’m finding Aetherspun Gold in chests like candy. Definitely losing my motivation…

I'm still working on my +1 gear since I'm not going in there every night but gold is the hindrance for me. At least CEs give silver so that can be ground out. I dislike the tower gold farming method (especially because groups are insistent on war only and I play gnb because I don't care for war) and don't really want to solo but there's not really an in-between. Unfortunately it's reminiscent of original Eureka Anemos where chain pulling groups quickly died out when everyone started jumping on fate trains.
