Hello All
I have started obtaining collectables out of mining, like cloudkin feather. What can I do with such? Are they tradable at whatever NPCs?
I have tried to read on the internet but got very confused. I did a quest (from Morgayne in Ishgard), but how it relates to the collectable items wasn't really clear to me and I don't know what shall be next step.
Could someone please explain clearly for a slow brain like me? :o

Collectables come in a few categories.
- Collectables that can be turned in to Collectable Appraisers
- Collectables that can be turned in for Custom Deliveries clients
- Collectables that can be Reduced to crystals and sands
The ones that can be turned in to NPCs will give you experience and scrips based on level and collectable quality. Each of the respective NPCs (Wiki: Collectable Appraiser, Wiki: Custom Deliveries) will give you a table of quality vs reward. You have to get a certain amount of collectability to get the lowest tier reward, and a certain amount to get the highest reward. It's not necessary to max out the quality to get the highest reward; anything over the threshold works. The items you can turn in to Collectable Appraisers are all named Rarefied Something and the list of items the appraisers will accept is fixed based on level. Custom Deliveries clients will ask for collectables that don't have Rarefied in the name, and the item they want varies with your rank with each particular client. Once you max out a client, the item they ask for is randomized each weekly reset.
Collectables that can be Reduced come from certain temporary timed nodes (Wiki: Ephemeral Nodes).
