Relic Restoration / New method of re-acquiring Relic Weapons.

The relic weapons (purple grade) need a method of being re-obtainable that doesn't involve simply remaking the same weapon again from scratch. With content like Eureka and Bozja getting more and more unfeasible to do by yourself every year it makes getting any relic from that content harder and harder and more tedious to even bother. New relic or even remaking an old one, it doesn't matter. It's going to reach a point where it's just utterly unreasonable to even make an attempt at them. Especially for newer characters / players.

Can we please just have an NPC at every relic quests starting point from previous expansions offer to sell individual stages of them to us for tomestones? We're already at a point where we just go dump 1,500 tomestones at an NPC for Endwalker and Dawntrail per stage. There's no reason you guys can't do this for expansions prior. Or for players who already completed a relic in its entirety, there's no reason we shouldn't just be able to re-acquire it if we wanted it. Most players need to store these things somewhere and Square Enix is already very picky about giving us more inventory space to begin with. So bypass the inventory space altogether and just add in a few NPC's or create a new NPC whose conveniently in multiple places at once. Like Gerolt already is. It can be Gilgamesh for all I care, his whole shtick is he collects weapons of incredible power anyway. But some of us don't wanna overload our inventory with weapons we'll realistically never use but we keep as trophies anyways. And that's unreasonable to expect us to do it anyways or suffer the consequences I.E. "just go remake it from scratch". Maybe you guys don't wanna devalue the time we put in to produce one of these weapons to begin with, I can understand that. At the very least can we PLEASE just get an NPC that checks our achievements and will willingly pass us a relic we've already completed at that point.

The reason that each recent relic weapon is tied to it's own achievement now is actually so you can buy the replica of that stage of the relic from the vendor that's usually nearby where you got the initial relic done.

The 2.0 NPC is Drake <Replica Vendor> in North Shroud and then you choose Zodiac Weapon Zeta Reissue. The 2.0 relics are a bit odd in that you have to actually turn the finished product into luminous crystals with Syndony in Mor Dhona before the prior stages are permanently unlocked (Don't be tricked...they do unlock temporarily while you have the weapon in the inventory).
The 3.0 NPC is the Restoration Node in Azys Lla and then you choose to replicate the stage of weapons. Each stage is cheap and it's a very cheap amount usually under 100 gil.
The 4.0 NPC is Staelhundr <Replica Vendor> in Kugane at the end of Pier 1 and then you choose to purchase stage of weapon you unlocked with the achievements.
The 5.0 NPC is Regana in Gangos (Bozja area) by way of Doman Enclave teleport and then purchase stage of weapon you unlocked so by achievement.
The 6.0 NPC is House Manderville Vendor in Radz-at-Han from and then purchase stage of relic weapon you want per relic step achievement earned.

But...if you want the ORIGINAL relics with their stats and without "replica" on the weapon name...then remaking them is about the only option if you got rid of them. I don't see SE ever making the older relics tome dumps like the 6.0 ones or giving players a way to bypass the steps as they usually treat relics as long term content that people do between patches. I know I'm still working through some myself.

You appear to be misunderstanding my criticism. Those are Replicas. No stats. They are functionally useless as actual weapons. I do not mean we need a solution for this. I meant we need a solution for the actual relics themselves besides "simply re-make the entire thing". With how limited inventory space is most players would not reasonably keep the actual weapon itself after an expansion has ended. And I can understand it being a low thing on any priority list for Quality of Life updates, because of this. Among other potential reasons. But a lot of players also still enjoy going back to old Ultimates and some others even still try to do old raids item-level synched. Which would create an insistence within these communities to use these old relics as they would be your Best-In-Slot weapon for the job you're playing, assuming there was a relic available for that job during whichever specific expansion. If a "trophy" inventory, of sorts, isn't feasible for giving us a place to put these old things in so we never would feel like getting rid of them, assuming somebody would, then a vendor that checks whether or not you've ever made that specific one can just return the weapon to you, and that would be a simple, easy solution.

This isn't about glamour.

Instead of having to re-make them, there should just be a housing item that allows you to display whatever weapon you want (doesn't just have to be relic weapons) as a trophy of sorts. I have no idea how feasible that would be with this code, but it would be awesome to show them off.
