Quick Synthesis Failure?

Pretty straight forward here, but I am leveling my crafters after returning to the game. Recommended Craftmanship for an item is 3366 and I have 3543. It takes me three uses of Prudent Synthesis with Veneration to craft the item NQ. Quick Synthesis should not be failing for me, but it is. Did they change something in the last two years where Quick Synthesis always has a failure rate or something?

Do you mean rapid synthesis? Because if so yes rapid synthesis has a 50% success rate (or 75% under centred)

Lame. I guess I need to break out the macros then. Ah well.

And no, I meant quick synthesis. The button between trial synthesis and synthesis in the crafting log.

Oh I’m thinking actions but you mean the synthesis that allows you to mass produce items as long as you don’t care about quality

Yeah quick synthesis can be made 100% reliable but you have to be pretty far above the recommended stats in order to guarantee 100% success rate and the difficulty of the recipe also plays a part

I’d probably say (at a guess) that recipe should become 100% consistent at about 3700/3700

This is a very late reply but putting it here in case someone is searching for info. We saw a lot of reports on quick synth failing at the start of Dawntrail when above the recommended craftsmanship value. We tested this a lot and came to the conclusion that most of the time this bug happens if your tools (main or offhand or both) are lower item level. Even when your recommended craftsmanship is well above the value. And it only happens on Dawntrail recipes (so 91+). Have reported it in game as bug report but it might still be in game. Had someone do a test and they failed 3 out of 5 items quick synthed, just by equipping an item level 540 offhand instead of an item level 620 scrip offhand.

To clarify: this is for sure a bug. Quick synth is not supposed to fail when above the recommended craftmsanship. Have only seen this happen on Dawntrail recipes.
