Would one minute cooldowns vs 2 minutes make drifting easier to fix and be a more popular meta?
I don't see why 1 minute raid buffs and 2 minute raid buffs both can't exist as 1 minute buffs actually full into 2 minute windows.
I honestly find everyone having synching buffs boring, but I rather 1 minute over 2 minute, but If I got to choose we'd have both and some that fall out of 1/2 minutes.
Man i just really miss old trick attack in alliance raids. If there was a ninja in every alliance it'd be up constantly. I also feel like 1 minute buffs would better suit the less skilled players who struggle with drifting. Two minute meta was made to make the game easier but failed epically imo.
In fact they could do a lot of good having a bunch of various self and group buffs (importantly including the latter!) on various timers that all converge every 2 minutes. 15s / 30s / 60s / 120s / 240s.
On warrior I really only found trick windows interesting exactly because it wasn't a 1-minute job. You wanted to make use of the buff but it fell outside of your IR a lot of the time, which meant having to manage your gauge and Infuriate uses to be able to put more than a filler combo into it.
With Inner Release now being every minute it would just align by default, making it just as boring as the current 2-min raid buff windows.
I mean I can understand that, I think warrior just needs actual gauge management instead of "fell cleave gauge" though that can be said about a lot of tank rotations there should be more to actually manage.
wouldn't you still prioritise 2minute over 1 minute though? because you have more buffs at 2 minute's so you'd still want to make it a priority, not like Ninja will be your only buffer 90% of the time.
Of course you would still prioritize the bigger modifier window, but it would still just align by default.
Right now warrior has Inner Release and everything you get for free just from pressing it every minute + 1 Infuriate that you need to spend during odd minutes anyway to not overcap on stacks.
The only thing you would even remotely have to think about is saving gauge for an extra Fell Cleave for the trick window.
But even that is mostly out of your control since they removed Onslaught as a tool to manipulate your gauge.
The same goes for a lot of jobs, they are simply so much on rails that there isn't really an option to "play" into trick windows, it either aligns automatically or it doesn't and there is little you can do about it.
