maybe this could be cool for sage.

hello i have made a suggestion about a slight change for sage.
Maybe others would like to discuss about this idea so here it is.


Right now when you are playing sage in raid, the skill Toxicon https://i.gyazo.com/6895bcea102436a2...fa5b44fcd7.png doesn't seems to be that optimal or that usefull.

Here is my take on how to make it a bit more interesting to use without doing a lot of work on it or making big changes on how the job works right now.

The way it works right now is you have to do Eukrasia https://i.gyazo.com/2c70f6282a956484...9876110e88.png to be able to place your DOT and do it again everytime you want refresh your DOT, wich isn't really interesting in my opinion.


While toxicon is mostly left out most of the game raid encounters, it can be used on single targets and on AOE ,it could be perfect to refresh/reset the duration of dots, you have already applied the normal way, making it actually interesting to use.

By making toxicon able to refresh the dots duration, you add a bit of strategy to the Sage gameplay, managing the addersting ressource offering slight dps benefit for doing so, a quality of life improvement by avoiding the use of eukrasia solely for that purpose without making a change to the actual sage gameplay for those who likes it as it is right now and don't it to change.

I don't think it would negatively impact any players, or break the actual balance between the the different support jobs, just an optional quality of life change for Sage.

What do you think about this ?

All I can see happening from this is rather than spending a GCD to reset e dosis the normal way you spend a GCD applying a shield on the tank that will crack giving you toxicon allowing you to spend toxicon to reset your DOT when you would have reset it anyway

So it basically just buys you a free GCD shield every 30 seconds at the cost of 100mp

It's just a little QoL change opening what is (imo) a bit more interesting to do rather than pressing eukra+dosis every 28 sec.
You could do it both ways opening some more options depending on your ressources.

Why do you feel as if Toxicon is not useful? Currently the point of it is for movement since it does the same amount of damage as Dosis but is an instant cast.

Your idea is basically just a big buff for Sage. As supersnow is saying, it’ll become an almost-free GCD shield for Sage, as long as your Addersting doesn’t overcap. And also applying this extra shield without losing damage would be another gcd of free movement.

personal main issue with Toxicon is not being able to stock up on it outside spamming shields in downtime without it being a loss. I've wanted Psyche to grant an Addersting for that reason for a while now.

I don't see it as such a big buff, since using a gcd for the shield means not using it for damage, just delay it for a later use of toxicon to reset the duration of your dot. You can already use shield to generate addersting and insta use it with a toxicon and it's not more interesting that simply using dosis and keep your toxicon for when you have to move.
Only thing you earn is a slight dps buff since you could stop wasting time on eukrasia.

You wouldn’t gain or lose any damage you would simply trade the e dosis GCD for an e diagnosis GCD then reset the DOT with the subsequent toxicon

So they basically just get one damage neutral shield per 30 seconds
