direct x crash 7.2 speedrun any% 'glitchless' [parody bug report]

not a serious bug report since I'm kinda used to this happening by now; nor is it a serious issue since it's usually just fixed by verifying the games' integrity against a local backup[1].

it's also a lot better than it used to be since the game would just crash outright when this happened, but now it's still semi-playable. can still send chat messages and whatnot, just assets aren't loading. Sometimes it's NPCs, sometimes it's background elements (I've a shot of Tsukiyommi floating in the skybox), sometimes it's other players (was a surreal PvP round...)[2]

not a serious speedrun either; i'm sure if one was trying to make this happen it'd be possible to trigger it sooner but eh. Just wanted to vent to the void at my misfortune and share a funny moment.

[1] - The last time I tried contacting support about this they suggested I make a backup of my xiv install after downloading updates to try to save the sheer time it takes to re-download the whole game via the official launcher.
[2] - I can write this up as a more formal report if desired; but at this point it's just confirmation of our old pal directX errors still persisting in 7.2 gwahaha
