Heavy crafting / gathering collectable activity?

I've been out gathering for orange scrips -> Mount tokens -> Barreltender.
Currently, I'm seeing many more players at the nodes than I did a few months ago. Afe they all after the same mount, or is there something to build up before 7.2 such as material for new gear?

New Master Recipe books so farming items to craft to turn in for scrip.
