Feature suggestion: Tacklebox/Bait inventory

Unless I'm mistaken, it seems that a lot of the new fish in DT take versatile lures instead of unique baits as their most required bait. I assume this is to get around the issue of having to carry around tons of bait, but that begs the question, why is there not a separate inventory for bait?

I wouldn't even mind if the bait went from being a tradeable item to an untradeable currency, if the server infrastructure can't handle making a 2nd kind of chocobo saddlebag. Making half the fish take the same lure is just disappointing, and doesn't fix the issue of inventory space for previous expansions' fish.

Because they charge us a monthly fee for extra storage, so the more they can cram into our bags the better. This is why we will never get a tacklebox or a crafting bag.

Honest question but why do you need to carry around tons of bait? Couldn't you just grab the bait for whatever you're trying to fish at that time?

People bring this up all time time and the devs always give the same answer, which is something along the lines of "if and when we are able to expand player inventories, we want any new slots to be usable for all items, rather than limiting them to specific things like bait or crafting materials."

a long time ago when player asked for a bait box yoshida answered.

and his answer was the chocobo-bag. there you have it, your bait box
