Concitation's Sound Effect

Just to give a break from the healer design discussions, there is something that I have found extremely enjoyable.

To me, Concitation has a "glass-like" clink sound that is both distinctive (even amongst other explosive sounds, you can hear the SCH's Concitation easily) and subtle (unlike Succor is), that also has a positive connotation (glass clinking is usually more celebratory/with friends thing).

All those things make it a pretty enjoyable spell to use (in the rarer cases you need it). I don't think non-healers realize it, but when I'm not playing SCH, it does cheer me up a bit to hear (which...I guess fits the word concitation well).

Anyway, just a passing thought I've had over the past 8 months since DT released.

(I can understand if some folks don't like it. Glass-like sounds can instead be grating to some folks.)

I love both equally. But given that I've been listening to Succor's SFX for almost 4 and a half years, the change was very welcomed. The only downside to Concitation IMHO was how the centerpoint of the VFX where the beam of light streams upward comes out from above our character instead of from our codex lol---that bothers my eyes.

I don't necessarily want to get rid of Succor's SFX though. It would be nice to have Succor's SFX plays when the beam stream upward, then let the new Concitation SFX plays when the beams lands on the party.

If only if I could do that myself... *cough*

I prefer succor to concitation but concitation is the only one of the 4 new AOE SFX that I still consider genuinely good so I don’t mind the change that much

Medica 3 and Helios conjunction are awful and e prog 2 barely has a sound effect

I do enjoy the sound effect for Concitation too, plus I love the VFX. I just wish I didn’t have to feel guilty for using it because gcd healing lol. I really like the sound effects for Summon Seraph too personally

But then, I actually really liked the original 3.0 ‘Microwave Broil’ sound effect too. The obnoxiousness was part of the fun! Maybe I just have bad tastes lol
Not that I have anything against Broil IV (overuse of which notwithstanding ), but personally I just kinda find the ‘projectile fireballs’ thing a little boring compared to Sage Lasers or whatever the hell is going on with Fall Malefic lol. I thought the original version was more interesting when the ‘explosion’ originated from the target and wasn’t just ‘throws firecrackers’

Concitation sounds alright, I did like Succor but both are on par with me, my annoyance is more Helios Conjunction, it just sounds really weird, I loved how Aspected Helios sounded in comparison felt very spacey...

I think I wish we could use old animations for jobs, from ones that get upgrades... Theirs a few skills at this point I prefer visually or soundwise.
