Though I'd recommend you work to make up for the lost STR somewhere.

I think the only way that giantsgall might be competitive is if its triple melded but then again if you can afford to triple meld such an item then you should probably already be at STR/PIE cap without the triple melded weapon which would make it useless compared to garudas beak.

If you are at stat caps Garuda's beak.

If you are not at stat caps the giantsgall will likely parse a little higher just because of the added stats.

The giantsgall will be a good gateway weapon while you work on your gear to hit caps to make the beak worth it.

A giantsgall with 78AP, at Ifrit caps, beats Ifrit's Harpoon. 63 to beat Garuda, at Ifrit caps. But if the choice is Garuda vs Giants, you should be able to hit Garuda caps. In which case (350str/310pie), you would need 160AP to surpass Garuda.

Tachi Koma, (the guy who did the BG parser and the previous cap tests on ifrit weapons) found a cap at 358 STR and 315 PIE for the Garuda Beak. Where did you see the 350/310 for it ?

Many many hours of testing from a DRG on my server. Considering STR still works at the 2:3 ratio with Attack Power once you hit cap, it would make sense that determining the true cap would have some leeway.
