3s is just ridiculous.
I'd even settle for 4s since they cut the recast to 24s (-20% from original), but 3s is indeed quite short.
That and honestly they introduced a LOT of new CC options while also shortening the recast on other significant ones. (also why does Miracle of Nature always have to be something special, like would a pseudo-silence not have been enough? Why the MP drain?)
I'd far prefer that. Someone mentioned the reduction to 3s was motivated by a desire to make pre-Purify less powerful. Fine, do a full reversion where resilience only pops when you cleanse a status effect.
I think SE justified it because they reduced the recast, it used to be 30s I believe. I agree in spirit but 3s? That's rough.
4s would definitely fix Contradance for sure.
3s doesn't even allow you for example to retreat with sprint from the frontlines in the middle of Palaistra back to your own ramp in time... You remove a cc with purify, 2s are left to run back, you get stunned again before even reaching it and that's just an example among many really.
Looking forward to 2s purify next patch when they add 10 more CC abilities
Another anecdotal example I've had recently: opposing comp was NIN + RDM + DRK + BRD + SMN.
- NIN: delayed double stun, just in case your first gets purified.
- RDM: AoE silence + AoE stun, just in case your first gets purified, and it's party wide!
- DRK: AoE pull in and bind.
- BRD: silence.
- SMN: AoE stun.

Chain stunned all game long. Very fun. Engaging gameplay, 11/10 would recommend. There is other jobs as well like WAR that can add to the fun as well, but team party size is limited to 5 unfortunately.
So I don't know if the goal is to literally drive everyone crazy in pvp, or if those tools are actually necessary to BREAK the current green/blue job sustain meta, but please, buff Purify, and perhaps consider removing the hard stuns on AoE moves except for the prime target of the ability?
