Square Enix to its addicted players

I would draw the audience handing $13 sub fees to Edea and buying MogStation items but I'm as hardworking as Square Enix.

May as well put Player Privacy in the bin too whilst you're at it.

At least all of this text was translated to English. Someone actually caught the ENG side having JP text in it from "Rral Majun", the barmaid at the taco place in Tuliyolal. Pretty sure it's related to the most recent Role-Quest continuation.
That being said, OP is precisely how the majority of the now-departing community feels how they're being treated with this expansion, and not just the expansion, but the company itself. If 'vacation' being teased is roughly translated to 'take a break from professionalism, quality, and respectful behavior', then by golly that's what we're being fed. Even the satire in the interviews from Yoshida, to the wanton abuse from English team members to the playerbase, down to the PR statements and protective actions from Square reflect a state of mind that is so bizarre that I can't even begin to explain where it's all coming from. The game wasn't doing as great as it could have been Job-wise for the past two expansions (barring DT; three if you include it), but it was stable despite being repetitive and increasingly simplistic; why shoot yourselves in the foot NOW and gush money and players both down the drain? The worst of it all is the silence, since The Question is still 'Why' and we don't have an Answer. I wish I knew more so I could wrap my head around it all.
Still, the biggest irony is that people are leaving this MMORPG to go back to other MMORPGs that they fled to FFXIV to begin with, like Shadowlands with WoW. FFXIV cooked with ShB and gained a wealth of players, and the selfsame players are leaving because the same antics that forced them here are now driving them away. The other MMORPGs aren't perfect by a long shot, but the fact they offer more than frickin' FFXIV says a lot. Even FFXI seems to be offering more. I want to love FFXIV, but its spirit is so dry that I can't ignore that this is just the start of 2025 and this is the move Square went with. We can only see how things progress from here, but with the latest patch, it isn't looking bright. We will simply keep an ear to the ground while we find better things to do. Much love, much appreciation.

The worse this game gets the more I touch grass outside and work out at the gym. I've lost 40 pounds thanks to Dawntrail being absolute garbage.

You forgot to put the "congestion" in there, servers arent congested if you got some cash to transfer, but if you dont have the cash to transfer and want to use world visit/dc visit, servers are at full capacity and about to explode and it'd be absolutely impossible to let you play on them. (and you have people defending it)
