Please consider setting discussion topics to Read Only after 5 years

There are posters on this website who seemingly delight in taking ancient forum topics and replying to them, even though the discussion topic is no longer relevent.

If would be one thing if they were contributing to the discussion with an update on the topic, or if the topic was actually still an issue in the current version of the game.

What these posters are instead doing so and replying to the original post as if it was a new topic, which can be incredibly confusing to everyone else.

I understand the value in having old topics available to read, and the desire to limit the creation of new posts for existing topics.

But I don't understand the value in allowing people to reply to these ancient topics, bringing them back to the top of the forum.

Please consider making forum posts automatically locked after 5 years. That should be enough to cover the current version of the game, the previous expansion, and most topics that actually mattered from them.

They'll never do this because the Japanese forums prefer huge megathreads that have been going for 10+ years over making a separate thread for each topic.
