I have to say, while it was never my style, public statements proscribing against teabaging dead players in crystal seemed kind of a shame. It was funny even when done to me.

Because it's a cliche in heroic fantasy (which has long since leaked over into other genres, like shonen) to assume the villains are dead or defeated and then act surprised when they turn up again later to cause more problems.
A side effect of the Blessing of Light is permanent 'oblivious anime protagonist' syndrome. Simply not accepting drinks from strange people required years of drug trials and therapy.
I suspect what SE is worried about is people reading the threads on CAR here and then using that utility on themselves.
