...make 24 man drop coffer yet

i know some people will say it to keep 24 man active longer, but holding people hostage by loot drop only result of more negative action, like quiting mid boss fight once they get their drop, or using macro to get carry out a whole run

1 or 2 run per week to collect part you want is okay, but 5 runs with nothing doesn't feel right

I am surprised why we still can't trade the raid coins for the alliance raid gear? A perfect solution for glam junkies who ready to give their coin for weaker non-augmented gear and players who don't even pursue BiS gear in the first place.
Oh and do keep awarding these coins after they become obsolete, so people can "farm" glamour at their leisure.

Everyone wins.

What annoys me the most right now is the horrendous rng around the alliance wide rewards on the last boss. You literally need to roll close to 95+ (often 98 or 99) to get your hands on some of those, and unlike the minion where it's kinda ok because you can't roll for it anymore once you got it so you eventually get less competition, people however can keep rolling and rolling and rolling on the other tokens like the cards or the new orchestrion tokens (and there is a lot of those).

It's crazy how greedy people who already got the card still rolls for them just so they can sell it for 1500 MGP. There should be restriction from rolling on card if you already own it, especially when you're rolling against 23 other people. It's ridiculous.

The real frustrating part about this is that they had this figured out back in ARR, and included a NPC that drops all 3 Crystal Tower AR cards so you can just farm her if you want the cards for unlocks, then they did it again in HW, and again in StB... and suddenly stopped doing it in ShB and EW, with no equivalent NPC for YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse or Myths of the Realm, it was a simple and straightforward solution that they had locked in for so long, only to stop doing for no discernible reason.

The devs think if they timegate things or rng-gate things, you'll play more. But they're overestimating their appeal. It doesn't help that they also spent the last 10 years telling people to take breaks when they feel like burning out. Their base is a community that's oddly okay with just shrugging their shoulders and walking away if insane odds prevent them from obtaining something fairly trivial. Like, imagine caring about mounts or glams in this game in 2024, enough to keep rerunning the same scripted battle content on the same 2m looping post-EW job. Do you really want it that bad? It's not even like it's bis or anything; you can get 620 ilvl by just talking to an npc and trading out market gear. If it's just for the glam, I mean, maybe you'll try a few times but beyond that, most XIV players will just cut their losses and play something else.

I'm not saying "Don't try," btw. This post is meant more as an indictment against the devs for cultivating a community vibe of "just log off" and then giving no staying power to their jobs or their battle content but then expecting people to run the same EX like 99 times for totems they can't even trade in yet, etc. etc. Saying this as someone who had an fc-mate who used to really want a glam piece from a level 70 dungeon. We ran it a few times a day but they never got it. In the end they quit during a content drought. Having that insurmountable goal hanging over their head didn't keep them in the game. They just left. SE doesn't really have their players "mazed" enough for this approach to work imo, so yeah, coffers or a pity system would probably be a good change that wouldn't affect sub-count like they think it would.

It's polite to wait for people. The cutscene takes 15 seconds max. Plus it gives people time to prepare and potentially for buffs to come off CD in tme. If you pull when everyone is ready as opposed to early pulling you save time overall due to having better DPS.

The real reason people early pull is to avoid getting kicked so they can go back to being afk cause it's incredibly unlikely others are gonna wipe the whole alliance in order to kick them.

Presumably, the chance to roll 50-99 being lower than 1-49 is so fewer people lament how close they were. But anything under 95 in an alliance raid patch is equally fruitless.

they did rework savage loot system to coffer to reduce 2 layer RNG to only 1 layer RNG, not sure why they can't do it for 24 man in same time, worry about no one will run it is nonsense, when these raid has 2 roulette cover it, and one of 2 give alot of reward daily
