A number of jobs in the game have their animations replaced with inferior/less fun versions at higher levels. Please add the ability to lower the level of any of your jobs in amounts of 10, or even a one-size-fits-all 'reset to level 50' option would do. I like having fun and it's becoming harder to do it in this game. And being able to 'lock' any of your jobs so that they do not gain exp, would complement and complete this.
Would allowing players to have "action glamours" not achieve a similar effect?
Like, if I preferred MNK's Bootshine to Leaping Opo-Opo (or, good lord, DRK's old Power Slash over Souleater), I could simply select that in the menu or even an option that randomizes which animation I'll get similar to how our characters shuffle through various /cposes while idle?
The only knock-on effect from this would be that certain actions have different "impact" times (the time which the damage or effect is actually dealt over the course of its animation), but this hardly ever matters outside of very niche things like speedruns where that sort of timing can matter.
I’ll take anything that lets me use Wide Volley’s animation again lol.
Feels like a bit of a slap in the face for them to re-add such a highly requested skill (by me) then make it so low-level that you’d be forgiven for not knowing it exists again lol
