Iron Tempest, am I using it right?

Hi folks.

Had questions on Iron Tempest.

I've used it roughly ten times now and it has ALWAYS missed. I haven't seen any damage related to Iron Tempest pop up in the log or any numbers pop up.

Am I using it right? Does it only work against flying creatures or enemies in a certain range? Or have I just had terrible luck and never hit with it? Let me kno your experiences with Iron Tempest and/or how to deploy it more effectively.

Iron Tempest's Area of effect is Doughnut-like, so you won't hit anything close to you.
But it has quite wide area (except it's center).

Its like LunaChild said. Iron Tempest has the same range as Arrow Helix You can Imagine that, if you can hit the mob with brandish, iron tempest will miss...if the monster is too far for brandish iron tempest will hit.

I wouldn't care about it tho since iron tempest is a WS for fun only...its not good in any aspect other than its animation ^^:

Yep, donut-shape AOE. It's pretty useless, especially with single claim mobs.

Thank you much all. I've only tried it out when soloing and took it off before partying, but now that I know what I *could* use it for, I'll keep it in mind.

Now it's good for pulling all the skeletons ;)

I have found it useful on some occasions. There have been times where other mobs where in the way of my fighting but managed to get them close enough to me to be able to use Iron tempest and miss them and hitting my target mobs. Other then that, its just kinda fun to use.
