Random Crashes #2
This is a follow on from -
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...4-Game-Crashes
This appeared to resolve the problem - I could play for hours and not have a problem. However the issue has steadily been getting worse - even before 7.1 dropped. Now I can't play any Raid/PVP or Dungeon without at least one crash. The error I'm getting is fairly consistent-
nvwgf2umx.dll
d3d11.dll
ffxiv_dx11.exe
Sometimes include-
KERNEL32.DLL
ntdll.dll
I've confirmed I am running the latest BIOS (still) and updated the video card drivers to the latest and the problem is still apparent.
Not sure if it is the CPU or what - any help appreciated! :3

Hello, what happens if you start UE4/UE5 games? Do they crash during the shader compiling operation? Or do you get an "Out of video memory"-error?
You can try it with the Blackmyth Wukong benchmark tool:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3...enchmark_Tool/
It is for free and it runs on the UE5 engine.
If it crashes then your CPU is permanently damaged. Then you should RMA it.

Thank you for that!
I did run it and it seemed to run OK. I did notice that it barely used the CPU at a steady 11% load. FFXIV typically runs much higher for me. Is there another recommendation I could try?

Hello, you could use Intel XTU and set the CPU multiplicator down one or two steps. This might help if the CPU is the reason for the crashes.

Thank you for your help here. I've decided to return my desktop under warranty and see if I can get the CPU replaced.
