Is Macrocosmos bugged or is it intended? (apologies for the dumb question)

I've never played AST that much in FL, and never with other AST in my own party. However, I've noticed that, if Macrocosmos has been used by another AST from your party, your own Macrocosmos will be unusable and will become Microcosmos. I'm pretty sure I've already seen two Microcosmos as a buff on myself, so I'm wondering: Is it intended, and was changed this patch? It feels kinda weird to not being able to use your own AoE ability because of the healing action of another player

Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I'm not accustomed with AST in PvP and I don't find anything online about this

OMG so THAT'S what was happening in that one FL match I played as AST in. I was like: "wait, I didn't use macro yet, why is it micro now?"

Yeah, I want to know if this was them trying to nerf AST stacking in 1 party or if it's a bug. I'm guessing the latter? If it's somehow the former, they should implement a similar restriction for allied DRKs standing in a friendly Salted Earth...

You'd think with how rarely we get PvP updates they might have time to check they worked.

I'm leaning towards the 'It's probably a bug' , because it seems like a pretty wonky way to prevent multiple Microcosmos on players, you're even technically able to press the Microcosmos action, while it's not your own, but you'll just get 'Microcosmos Dodge' or 'Microcosmos Miss' errors
If it's not it's pretty badly implanted, on top of nothing mentioning that you'll not be able to use your own Macrocosmos if Microcosmos from anyone else is active.
I don't post much on forum, so I don't know if a Moderator will redirected this topic into the Bug section or if I should directly post there, to know if it's intended or not...

Surprising that it made it through, would have been frustrating as hell in a match , that sounds like a bug. Moderator might move it, thought better off to post it in the bug section.

Technically, that would be the best way to nerf all massive AoE effects in PvP, By preventing everyone from using the same ability at the same time. So maybe they are working on that on their end and it accidentally made it through before it's fully ready? Who knows lol.

Personally, I think it's a terrible idea solely because the issue isn't multiple Macroscosmos, it's DRKs Salted Earth. It's the catalyst that allows every form of AoE to be broken.

Thankfully Guard and Purify are incredible counters for it so meh.

That isn't a great idea. Here's just a few questions that come to mind:

What do you consider to be a "massive" aoe? Is it the damage, the number of targets, the range? What is "everyone"? Everyone in the party or the alliance- or based upon a specified radius? What would be the CD?

Given the complexity, I 'm willing to bet it would get bugged. Much better to go with something simpler, which has been suggested for several jobs- which is limiting the number of targets
