Graphics Update 7.1 Feedback - Female Highlander Face 1

Once again coming to the forum because they said they were going to fix issues surrounding faces, except they didn't really for Female Highlander Face 1.

They haven't fixed the tilt of eyeshape 3, nor fixed the weird gap issue in the eyebrows, or the upper lip shape size for mouth shape 3. They seemingly only got rid of the philtrum's shadow, like it originally was (finally!)

I join the above. I hope the devs will finally remember that there is more than just miqo'tes in their game.

It's just sad. It could have been adjusted with mapping, or with actual texture work.
It also made me change the race as I don't have the patience to wait to get back any semblance of my previous character.

I wanted something like this:

And this was done by 2 hrs of texture editing of the 7.0 textures...

ngl, in both of the examples posted - 7.1 looks better than 7.0 and 7.0 looked better than 6.58.

Y'all are literally impossible to please. They can't upgrade something without changing it at all.

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

We have played these characters for years in many cases. You may think it is an improvement, but if the people actually playing the races don't think so, why do you think this comment is at all helpful?

I've waited for a comment like this. And it's not disappoint. Missed this classic 'don't you dare to criticize, just shut up and eat what the slacking dev team gave you' nonsense I had back in my WoW days.

I would actually LOVE if the shape 3 eyes were to be changed to be just like that! The edited version looks like what the eyes SHOULD look like.

"Impossible to please" and it is Highlander Female mains who have been playing the same race for years and years giving feedback???

WE were used to seeing OUR characters with the same face, eye and lip shape for YEARS and suddenly they look NOTHING like the character that went through MSQ and other content. How dare we want to have our character look the same as they did before, right??? I could understand if they somehow kept the features the same, but the sharpness of the eyes and lips are different, the face and noses look more bloated and all the eye options are eyes that are down-turned and small. Previously, the eye shape I chose was proportional in size compared to the sharp features of the face, the eyes looked cat-like and sultry.

I'm sure lots of people also love the changes they made to this face (yay for you if you do! :D) and that is okay, but this is feedback in hopes that the devs will see it. A lot of people want their characters to look the way they did before Dawntrail, and that is why we are on the forums giving feedback, thank you.

I've posted about this issue when the first Benchmark for Dawntrail came out, gave some pointers to what the devs could do to make the face look as close to the original vibe of the face (nothing changed to improve the face), I've posted feedback for the second benchmark for DT (nothing changed to improve the face), feedback on the release of 7.0 (nothing changed to improve the face) and then now doing it once again for 7.1 and no feedback we had given had been received YET AGAIN. All they did was change the UNIVERSAL for ALL RACES' shadow on the philtrum to be less obvious.

I don't think you understand. Something cannot be upgraded while remaining identical. It needs to change or the upgrade is... nothing.

To look at these images and say "they look NOTHING like the character that went through MSQ and other content" is either incredibly dishonest or insane. There are very subtle differences but it's those differences that make them look like upgraded versions of the same character model. Without those changes, the character would not be upgraded. Expecting the game keep its 2010 graphics forever because you personally can't deal with minute change is selfish IMO.

I hope that ya'll will continue to see good changes. My partner plays Highlander and was not happy with some of the results of the update, so I hope they'll continue to look into getting the shapes of the facial features right.
