graphical problems
I've been looking through the forums for awhile and couldn't find something that relates to my problem. I started playing when this first came out and then shelved it after a little while. Recently I have made a return and now it doesn't display right.
When i first got it i had no problems but now about aa year later I now have these issues

If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Ive been wanting to get back into this for quite sometime and finally decided to do so and i can't play

I would upgrade your graphics drivers/software. Should be all you need to get things back to normal.

Thanks for the response,
I have made sure that all of my graphics cards were up to date and also I have uninstalled/reinstalled the game to make sure everything was default settings. I have tried running it in both windowed and full screen mode just to check.
quick mention that I never had problems before when I first got the game and had bought a brand new computer to make sure it met the requiremnts.
Lastly just to mention my graphics card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 and i'm running on a Pavillion dv7

In my recent experience ati has horrible driver issues. If i was you, id run gpu-z to see which driver you literally are using and make sure it is the version you had tried to update or install.
I tried to install 12.7 over driver version 12.6 but even after reboot.....gpu-z told me i was using 12.6 still......
Also too, use the ones directly from ati/amds website.....dont use the video drivers hp offers, theyre most likely outdated. ANOTHER thing you could try too..... google direct x runtime and gwt that updated too. That may help

From what i can see, almost everyone with a radeon chipset is having issues graphically.
if you could post your full systems specs. that would be helpful.

I had this same problem with my ATI 6750m card also and it was only affecting FFXIV, only way I was able to fix it was running a driver cleaner pro. Completely removed the ATI drivers and reinstall fix the problem for me. Hope this help.
