Regarding Male Au Ra face scales (there's a gap?)

not sure if this is a bug and wondering if this has been a thing in the world, but apparently male au ra face scale (the sides at least) are not connected to the face? I've only recently noticed this now but I couldn't tell whether it's been a thing or not before the graphic update, so I wasn't sure whether to post this as a bug report or not.

Wrong part of the forums, but yes that is a bug. It shouldn't have a gap there.

I'm not certain about the the other faces, but on face 3, there has always been a gap there – the scale plates are anchored on the cheek bones and detached underneath, presumably so the jaw can move without stretching them.

However, the gap has gotten bigger on the new model because the underlying face shape has been altered, making it more noticable.

(It is absolutely saddening what they've done to my character overall. He has gone from cute to uncanny.)

im talking specifically for Face 4, they have this weird gap around their chin and I've seen it on the current model. It seems to be universal on even npcs models and I've not noticed the gap before the graphic update until... well now. Here it is with is.

Initially I also assumed it was simply "how it's supposed to look" but then I curiously looked to the older Face 4 model and I don't believe it is? As they don't seem to bear any gap from what I see (though their model seem to have not been updated yet so that might be taken into consideration).

Yeah, this is but report material; if you haven't already, bring it to the In-Game Bugs forum. (And format it properly, I've heard of bugs getting skipped over because they weren't.)

Right now you're in the lore subforum; we don't have any power, we just talk about worldbuilding and story. The best we can do about this is consult real-world reptile scale growth and end up going 'hmm yes this proves that au ra are technically a type of iguana'.

And I'd say you're looking in the wrong place because they're clearly armadillos or pangolins.
