FFXIV Crashing Entire PC, Forcing Hard Shutdown
Hi all, hope someone can help
In the last couple of days, I've had a bizarre problem. At a random time during play, FFXIV will crash my entire PC. It occurs when I tab out, and causes the PC to freeze. Input still works, but the display does not update at all. For example, I can type to my friend on Discord, but the display will not show the messages I have been sending (confirmed sending on a seperate device).
Most intriguing, it prevents Windows from restarting or shutting down safely, forcing me to do a hard shut down using the power button. (aka suffocating it with a pillow as a mercy kill).
I haven't been able to look at any error reports yet.
I have started a reinstall, but my internet is garbage tonight so the download is taking a while. In this time though, the error hasn't occured at all despite doing all the other things I was doing as well, so I'm fairly confident it's ffxiv.
I have updated my PC and my graphics drivers.
