cc rank should have requirements for playing minimum amount of match

cc rank matches are mostly not available as people who have ranked up .they dont play matches or play very much less match in fear of losing rank .
each season there should be some requirement like you have to play this much number of matches or you will derank .
casual matches are fine but there should be a way to keep rank cc alive .

also there should be rewards for pre season to keep the ball going .

Boosting overall needs to go.

Having one official map to play on for rank is debatable. So I'll leave that open for discussion.

For certain, dropping ranks needs to exist on all levels. Pushing everyone to platinum is part of the reason why folks are struggling to get games during most of the season.

TBH there should be more ranked rewards, like armor and mounts (kinda like the feast). But in this case, they should utilize the commendation crystals; bronze (gets 1), silver (gets 2), gold (3), plat (4), diamond (5), crystal (7ish) and t100 (12). Each armor set piece (total of 5 pieces) would cost 1 commendation crystal and each mount would cost 5 commendation crystals. Any weapon would cost 2, same as now for hellhound upgrade. This way people have something more tangible to work for in ranked. This’ll probably get more people to play ranked and trying to get better. There’s also no FOMO because even bronze can eventually get the items and mounts.

And no, I don’t think they should bring back feast mounts or armor. Because I can tell you, those players definitely deserve to stand out. Atleast most of them (minus the win traders and hackers). I’ve played feast and got to diamond (basically t100) multiple times but got bumped down to plat and work always got in the way, so your rank decay will definitely benefit people who actually have to work.

I would really like for them to do something like this. The gear should be 2 commendations each for head, gloves, legs and boots though. Chest peice should be 12 so that only a T100 player can wear the full set that season. Everyone else can get it eventually later on down the line. By saving up and/or improving thier gameplay. I suppose this would be a lighter form of FOMO since you dont really miss out on the gear/mount itself, but you do miss out on being the first to wear it for quite some time.

I can see your perspective but I was thinking that instead of putting out 1 armor set or 1 mount per season, they just put a bunch out at once. That way you can choose what you want to go for. In that aspect, for bronze - 1 piece of armor per season means it’ll take em 5 seasons to get a full set, hopefully encouraging them to get better and get a higher ranking. My idea of t100 getting 12 crystals means they can get a full set + mount + weapon which IMO would really encourage people to get to t100.

Do you know what's funny? They used to have that system in feast ranked play. A weapon needs 10 wolf collars, And if you are below diamond when season ends, you get wolf collars based on your rank but less than 10. It shocked me that they scrapped Such a great system in ranked cc

That should have been the requirements honestly. For rank to be more of the casual side their few requirements are strict. Then again, most is guaranteed platinum.

And the current result of it is that by technicality, all metal ranks (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) have no genuine reason to play ranked because their reward currently is:

- 1/2/3/4 Series levels worth of Trophy Crystals (which you will gain 2-10 times the amount just reaching those ranks, depending on skill / speed / queues)
- boring adventurerplate elements that are carbon copies of each other season after season

Less players at the bottom duking it out means less fresh blood reaching the higher ranks (Diamond + Crystal). If you don't give "participation trophies" as you call it i.e. a reason to even play if you simply aren't that good to reach Diamond+ consistently, you will starve out the player pool over time. No amount of matchmaking adjustments or various other methods one might suggest help with metal ranks lacking players, whereas Casual mode can be played actively without issues.

Also, we had "participation" trophies before - Wolf Collars used to be Ranked exclusive and were handed out from Bronze all the way to Top 100 in different quantities (back when Hellhound weapons were still unique to it). It wouldn't be the first time.

It's better to have something as a participation for trying (From ranked) than getting it from doing something completely unrelated (From the Series Rank "Battle Pass").

Loads of people would complain if the 5 rewards from it were put into Ranked CC (Oh hey, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond would line up perfectly for those rewards!), but it would certainly make more players want to queue up for it.
