The Rinascita and Felicitous hoods prove that viera can have hoods if none of their hair is shown. So why is it that the first hood you can actually get is the PVP reaper hood? Why aren't things on the MB like the rain hood or sky pirate helmets compatible? With RPR unlocking at 70 it's already pretty far into the game and not having a warm hat during base HW is cruel and unusual punishment. Sqex pls fix.

Hats have been an issue for long eared races for a long time. Viera and Hrothgar barely get any that covers the head but miqo'te are also affected and usually get their ears entirely hidden when wearing most kinds of head pieces from Stormblood onwards.

Probably it's something that they could implement if they went back and reviewed all of the things that could be allowed to work, but it seems they just haven't looked at the backlog that closely. Maybe they didn't have hoods in mind at the time when they reviewed everything to allow hairpins and glasses to work, and haven't gone through it a second time since.
