To answer your question indirectly:
Your STR is very low. In order to reach Garuda's lofty cap of ~358 STR, you will need to invest in STR-melded hands. Swapping STR into accessories (18, 4) and body (10 or 20) would leave you 18-28 STR short based on what you're wearing now. Melding even more STR means liberating accessory slots for INT, ACC and ATK--or, in your case, liberating your midsection.
With that in mind, it is better to use Tricorne for the 5 STR in addition to 35INT--both of which are uncapped--as the difference of 5STR/15INT will supersede the ATK/crit on eyepatch.
When dealing with MNK damage stats always aim to cap STR first. Follow up with INT to cap, then ATK everywhere else. Add ACC whenever necessary.
Oh, and elemental potency doesn't affect MNK fists. Sorry. -
08-03-2012, 11:22 PMDrexelNope it doesn't do anything, the DL Caligae are the way to go. Also as far as the Tricorn vs. Eye patch I will have to side with the Tricorn. If you are uncapped you are getting 20 STR/INT more stats collectively out of it than the eye patch which will increase DMG an all of your attacks. Also Monks Crit vary rarely without blindside, INT vastly out weighs crit attack on a blindside crit, this is based on my observations on Ifrit Extreme where I replaced the 20 INT / 30 Crit ATK eye patch with my 50 INT Raptorskin pot helm. My Howling fist went up by 150 or so with the pothelm vs the eye patch.Quote:
