Direct X crash on game launch.

Hey guys my brother recently upgraded his computer and now whenever he launches XIV in either windows or Full screen mode after selecting his character the game displays the black loading screen for a extremly long time.

His moniter flashes "No signal" as if he switched resolution, and XIV crashes due to loosing focus. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Funny thing is he logged in just fine to the market wards, but once he left he has been stuck in a this black screen oblivion for a week now.
