Hello. I must start off by saying that I love this game A LOT and that I appreciate everything that the developers and everyone involved do and have done to bring us this great game.
However, it deeply saddens me that several of my housing builds have been ruined by the fact that water refraction effects seem to be missing from many of the walls and furnishings that had them before 7.0. The 7.05 changes did address some lighting issues, but where is my water refraction? This is how my builds used to look and now the water refraction just isn't there anymore on so many of the walls no matter the time of day :(

I just did some testing in my alt's apartment and i can't even get water refraction effects to work on a dyed white screen unless i'm literally using the light from a window during the day. WHY are Lighting Furnishings NOT Producing Water Refraction from Mahogany Aqueduct? (omg i just realized maybe cameras are broken? I can see the refraction effects from only certain angles... After more testing, the refraction visuals are not only hard to make appear until you find a specific camera angle or first person, but also sometimes they glitch out and become ugly horizontal visual that looks nothing like water refraction) idk wtf is going on but this sucks and is sad.
PLZ FIX NOW! Not in 7.1. Fix it in 7.06 like next week plz. I hate this, i can't even build properly now. I need to take a break til you sort things out :(
All 3 of these shots were taken within 20 seconds of each other without changing any settings. The only difference is camera angle :(

After more testing, it seems that the refraction visuals get more intense the more upwards your angle is, but if you start looking downwards with your camera, then the visuals fade away the lower you aim. And as you can see, the horizontal glitch also have a vertical version :(

on a final note, i have to emphasize how much i love this game. I don't want to see it fall apart. I don't want to be mean, but i feel like you are being me to us housing designers (not to mention being mean to some of our characters by changing our lips without consent). You didn't even ask me if i loved my lips exactly how they were. But that is a different topic that is being discussed in the character graphics update megathread.

But i understand that change can be necessary for moving forward. I just hope that threads likes these can help us bring back the Good that has been Lost so that we can Preserve what Players Loved the most while still moving forward.

oooooh ok, I thought I was going nuts, Went into my house a lot at night, loaded with lights on a stage panel but noticed I no longer see the water effects, thought maybe I did somethin wrong or different.

I noticed that too. I used water reflections as sci-fi type plasma containers and they looked magnificent. Now they look meh to the point that I just took them down.

Found this post while researching the same issue in one of my builds. The water reflection seems to still be broken. I can sometimes get it to kind of show up with the lights totally off but even then it's very weak compared to pre-7.0 at normal lighting. Has anyone had more luck getting it to work or should I drop a post in the bug report forum?
