Extreme Mount Redemption

It’s taken four expansions for me to be annoyed enough to log in and make a forum post, but here we go:

I have had to redeem for mounts *at least* five times (two of them were with the “buffed” drop rate), and got about 80% of the tokens before rolling them on others, but Zoraal Ja EX was my breaking point. The fight only gives one totem per clear, which is fine. Going 99 clears without seeing the mount drop even once is painful… but what absolutely kills me is that you cannot redeem for the mount for an entire patch. Why? I think someone who clears a fight on content 99 times deserves the mount. What is the point in gatekeeping the totem redemption? It’s not like it has combat value. It’s not like the mount isn’t in the game already. Why is that staggered? I can’t think of a single logical reason. I did hear someone say it adds “mystique” to the mount and again I say YOU STILL NEED TO CLEAR 99 TIMES. It’s got plenty of friggin’ mystique. And the fact that I didn’t see that mount drop once. In 99 clears.

Please, SE… just make the redemption available when the fights come out.

you cant redeem it for 2 patches, not 1 x)

It is what it is, they like handing out stuff slowly.
They could aswell tie the savage mounts to the kill-achievements, as they did with ozma. But yet some unlucky savage raiders have to wait 8 weeks for their mount, while others luck it 1st try

it is what it is is a bad attitude. its litterelly punishing active player and and benefit the i dont care about the fight one OP is right. if you clear it 99 times you deserved it this is something which should be changed years agop

To be honest this is the most frustrating thing. I shouldn't have to redeem 99 tokens to get a mount. I've run EX2 multiple times today in different PF "Farm" groups and lost all times. I'm tired of losing. It's so demotivational to continue doing this content when there is no rewards out of it. I can't use the gear now. I own all the gear you can get from it. All I want is the mount. What is the point of making Extreme so punishing in the long run for a mount? It's not fun doing it x amount of times a day with nothing to show for it. Cool. I have resilient gear. It's basically useless now with Master Crafts/Helometry gear. This should have been fixed expansions ago.

Welcome to the club, im feeling like this since Suzaku... they NEED to change it - let us exchange after 2-3 weeks, maybe a month.

Its less bad when they give us 2 totems per kill but still... the wait, the "uhm... i guess im done..." feeling just hurts. It takes all the joy outta the fights, any wish to help others with their clears as at the point im having 100 totems, ive usually had at least 50-60 wipes or more as well and after that im just SO DONE with the fight...

(And id doesnt help SE going outta their way to add death walls, platforms you fall off and body checks more and more... )

i feel this ...

I suspect they do it to keep parties filled for those who get to the content late. Someone who doesn't want to wait 2 patches for the mount is likely to keep trying.

Personally, I'm in agreement with you. No one should have to wait that long if they already have 99 clears. If they're concerned about those getting to the content late having a hard time finding parties, they should create other incentives.

never got the argument tbh. cause casuals will not go in into ex trials early and fill fill the grps lately
