It needs to happen. The story gives you a way to pull it off and it gives you a way to take out Wuk Lamat.

We are level 100. What is next 110?? Clear the board and squish us back down to 50. You have 1 reflection with 10% of it left thanks to the light or the 13th.

Just crash us into another reflection thanks to Sphene pressing buttons and causing a Marvel multi verse

It also gives you a chance to throw the Scions onto multiple reflections and get rid of them out of the story without some convoluted silliness. Kill a few off if you want to. Alphinaud is pretty annoying.

Last time they tried to knock us down a peg with a Calamity, Mr. Catboy Genius sent himself back in time to make sure it didn't happen.

I want to rejoin the reflections to the source. The reason for the underling is over and I want everyone to be able to return to the aetherstream or whatever.

Pretty sure a rejoining would actually make our level go up not down lol
