[GARO EVENT] Zero - Viper Weapons

Request to extend the NIN weapons (Fangs of the Silver Wolf) into Viper weapons.
Rei / ZERO from the series is canonically more akin to a Viper and also combines his two blades like a Viper into a single double bladed weapon.

Also he charges up and glows blue in the actual show just like Viper's Reawaken.

The model's already there, just need to stick'em together

I think it won't happen, since it would ask for reworking the gear, which means probably rediscussing the terms of the contract. It's probably why GNB, DNC, SGE and RPR did not get weapons, but just reycled armor gear. But that would be nice.

We need another Garo event! Bring back all the old Garo stuff, but also introduce new Garo stuff like Viper weapon. o3o

What if I told you the GARO event is still ongoing...

But they could definitely add weapons to all the classes that were added into the game starting with Stormblood.

it did. they brought it back.

I mean I suppose it did end in 2019, but they restarted it in 2022 and it's still ongoing from that.

If it's about the same length as it was last time, it'll possibly end around february or march 2025.

Since it's a crossover, SE can't just do whatever they want. Even just slightly adjusting the existing items would likely require reworking the licensing agreement.

Extending it is just a Lazy, Ducktape adjustment.

I wish IPs had easier way to communicate and deal with such things.

But Corpa gonna Corpa. More so if they're so protective of their products and media.

(And tbh, Japan has a right to be, with so much Xenophobia and Misrepresentation of their history and culture as of late.)

But on topic.

I wonder, IF they did consider to design new weapons, gears for newer XIVZ Jobs.

Would they include it in their lore over all as extra Equipment, or go full in with history in their Show.

While I don't cope or hope for this to occur.

If we do get New Garo Gear, it would be nice.

Though I imagine they'll extend a bunch of the leathers and cloths onto PIC/VIP.

Rather than give full set access or elongated blades.

WHMs got the brush, but it seems unlikely atm to be given to picto in any shape.

The difference is that with those other jobs, they'd have to create new weapons from scratch. With Viper, the models are literally already in the game, just need to adjust them so Viper can hold them. The weapon model even literally has the extension on one blade that is required to connect the weapons.
