If you see someone farming a mob camp, and you decide to just let them do there thing and move to another camp. If you come back 2-hours later and they're still farming, at this point would it be less rude to just farm on top of them?

Yes
Wait for them to leave
Unless you farming there, does not hinder them at all
after you've waited a while and come back, you could just /say : I'm going to start farming here as well, I apologize for any inconvenience.
Omg! People on FFXIV do have manners! O: this thread deserves cookies and Love.(Mainly cookies)
There's almost nothing in this game you can farm that there isn't another spot for.
But, there is nothing wrong with making a PT for farming. It's what I usually try to do when someone asks me if they can have mobs.
If they don't want a pt then you can politely ask to split the camp.
If they don't want that either then well, it's not that big of a deal.
I NEVER start camping on top of someone. My parents taught me to wait for my turn, so I wait until I'm the only person there. Even if you wait before doing it, you're still being selfish by competing with someone over it.
Could ask them how long they will be farming. If i see someone "linger" at my farming spot and I'm leaving soon I'll tell them that I'll be leaving shortly and they can have it.
Even after 2 hours, if they're still there, I wouldn't just overtake their spot. It may be annoying, but I know I'd get pissed off if someone did it to me, especially if I put a free day aside specifically for farming purposes. Not like I couldn't just go do something else. . . .
