They said that event items are unique to show that you were there.

They also added that like in FFXI they may allow you to buy them in later events, but not for a "Long time" so give it 1-2 years :)

I also missed it due to my PC breaking (Much to the annoyance of my achievements) so you're not alone.

No beach bikini this summer. But you can earn battle bikini with the new faction leves.

They're in 2011, where you should have been if you wanted one.
