How many more times must our Living Dead get griefed?

I can't be the only player here that's amazed by how many healers there are in the game, that refuse to heal until you pop your living dead, and then the moment you do, they grief you out of the walking dead proc, making you waste it, and then the party wipes to the dungeon pull because the healer goes right back to not healing you the moment they see their intentional griefing was successful.

The only 2 solutions we could possible get are:
- More self sustain in the job kit
- A debuff during Living Dead that prevent healing from outside sources until Walking Dead procs

I would personally prefer the former so that we don't need to pop the invuln in the first place, but wouldn't be opposed to the latter.

Either way, I'm curious how many more times our Living Dead must be griefed before SE finally steps in and tells these healers enough is enough.

I had one healer not heal until I pop living dead then only use cure one. So it never popped.
Some people are just mean. That said. I do not want DRK to be as braindead as the other tanks. Is the only remaining true tank. And not a tank/healer combo.

Saying tanking is braindead just shows how little you know about tanking. No, Dark knight is the only tank that doesn't have any of the one thing that makes a tank be a tank, and that is, self sustain. The moment you forget any amount of mit below what you need to survive, dark knight gets shredded through like paper with no way to recover. The other tanks do not have this issue. In fact, I'm surprised your favorite bald streamer hasn't come out and called for Raw Intuition to become a tank role ability that's given to all tanks at level 15, cause Square Enix could literally do this and warrior would still be the superior tank because of how many other self heals it has.

I should correct myself a little bit here. Self Sustain is a core component of what makes a tank be a tank. 12AM rants be like this. And tanking is easy, but it is not braindead. If you want to see what braindead actually looks like, go play Star Trek Online, a game where you can put all of your keybinds on the same key and just spam that key to activate all of your abilities in the order they appear in your hotbar, and where you don't even have to pilot your ship because of how overpowered the AoE is in that game. Now that's braindead. The game literally just plays itself. Or go play any of those idle gacha games. Those are super braindead. Healers are more braindead to play than tanks are. At least we still have a 1-2-3 combo, and it looks like positioning the boss is coming back with Dawntrail.

You're almost definitely not getting griefed. The healer is just paying more attention to your rapidly dwindling HP than your list of buffs, and is burning all of their resources under the assumption that they're preventing a wipe instead of causing one. They might not even know what Living Dead is.

Is this situation your fault? No. You're (presumably) using your job's kit correctly, and other players' misunderstandings are causing problems. But telling the healer what you intend to do before you pull, or civilly explaining Living Dead to them after a wipe like this, will probably get you better results than going to the forums and posting about how Square Enix needs to "step in" and "tell healers enough is enough" because...healers are making mistakes in dungeons?

With all the flashy abilities, auras an so on that classes have in this game it is still weird to me that living dead doesn't have an ongoing visual indicator that would show that your character is under this certain debuff
(like a veil of darkness surrounding them or even anything else)

But yeah, at this moment the only "remedy" to this issue is either communication or using a macro, which is another form of communication in this case.
(Altough i never used a macro again since the living dead modification so i wouldn't really know if it could be useful or not)

Wrong mentality buddy. I wouldn't be here in the forums posting about it if I had at least once in my 14,000+ hours of gameplay seen a healer not grief my living dead. I've tried everything under the sun, from using a macro to waiting until the last possible second to pop it. There is nothing that stops these healers from going out of their way on this, and 999 times out of 1,000, it is a healer that has a vendetta against dark knight mains and is doing it on purpose. I have been scarred by this activity to many times to not be bringing it here to the forums. If you want to continue this mentality of always making an excuse to defend what is clear and obvious to me as intentional griefing, then you are part of the reason why we can't have self sustain on dark knight. As I stated in the OP, I cannot be the only player who has had this experience with dark knight in dungeons, and this getting drug through the mud dungeon experience for the job needs to be brought to an end.

I think to be fair, there's just no way to know the mechanic of another class if you dont play it. I actually didnt know until a couple months ago. But i played arr and stopped and came back for ew. I had no prior experience with dark knights.
So i did stop using cc like holy and damage reductions when i saw a dark knight shield turn on, end expect it in the first pull so they can break it.

Honestly too, healers are so damn bored we're just desperate to heal any little damage you have for something to do and use all out dmg reductions on cooldown just to have a button to press other than glare.

I dont really know an easy way to fix it though for healers who dont know how dark knights work.
Probably, if the darkest night also caused you to lose all damage mitigation buffs effects temporarily until it is gone, and always had its shield before any other shielding on you.

Huhhh... i didnt know about living dead. Ill have to look out for that. I dont know if theres a way to make it more intuitive without making it too similar to superbolide though. Maybe yeah just ignore outside healing. But also so healers dont panic and waste everything, have it grey out their abilities when targeting you during living dead so healing spells have a "invalid target" type of thing.

Play Warrior, that is the only tank that matters.
