An open letter to Yoshi P/Dev team/Staff and all associated with FFXIV(spoilers)

Full well am I aware that English is not the native language of many in the staff but I'm also not expecting anybody to see this. This is mostly me crying out into the aether for my own catharsis.

I've been a long time FFXIV player, since 1.0 and I've been here for the ups and downs, I raided way back when but had to give it a rest. Seen friends come and go, and still hold out hope many of them may yet return. I've laughed, cried and smiled over the story, and frustration from game play, but this has always felt a home to me.

In early 2023 my mother passed very suddenly in her sleep. She had spent a few days prior very ill and I never got the chance to say goodbye. I spent days in the hospital hoping she'd pull through but the truth was she had been gone for a while at the time I found her, I write this still in tears, having to walk away from a cut scene with Cahciua and Erenville. That he got to meet his mother, that he got to say goodbye felt so good to me. I am sobbing but they're tears of mixed emotion. Thank you, in a weird way I needed to see some of these scenes. I won't go into much detail to try and save some spoilers for others that might click by this. I just really needed it, more than words could express.

Again I don't think any of you will ever read this but I'm so glad that I get to write it
