This may be somewhat early to discuss, but a response out of the Reps would be nice, just to clarify.
When 2.0 goes live, will the servers be distributed based on current world's, such as right now I'm on Gungir, will I be pushed to Gungir in 2.0 or just put into 'world selection limbo'?
That's...a very good question. To be honest I hadn't really thought about that. I would assume that they would put us into selection limbo as a way of allowing people to transfer to new/different servers at launch with more ease. Given lockouts and everything I really hope that isn't the case though.
I imagine they will move you over as one unit, it's gonna be enough of a pain as it is getting all the data transferred over. That and depending on server populations they are not gonna let someone transfer and muscle out somebody who has always been on that server. So I imagine if they do allow transfers at that time every current person on a server will count towards the max until said time you manage to transfer elsewhere freeing up another spot.
When 2.0 come out you wont be in any servers you can pick what server you like to go to but let's say you in Gungir your spot would be there even if the world get full because you belong there still. But you could move to other server when you making your char over it would allow you to switch and it be the last time you can go to other server without restarting your char. To they come out with a system to allow players to switch worlds.
Too my knowledge, we haven't heard an official response about this via forum or interview. I've been hearing all kinds of things though. Someone in my LS seems to jump to conclusions on stuff a lot, with this topic being one of them lol.
i hope we get a world selection screen after were done making our characters a good chance we will get that.
pertty sure as long as your account is active you'll keep your spot on the server. if your inactive who know i still see people on the old servers on lodestone.Quote:
