Wait you cant DC travel in US servers?? Or is that a temporary thing?
There's 20 people in queue on any DC at this point, but hey since the community is pretty much fine with it and not complaining (as usual), why wouldnt they push it ?
One can hope they'll unlock world transfer with 7.0.5 so I can get out of Dynamis so this situation doesnt happen again, keeping all dcs locked down because of 20 people queues on any DC at any time is an absolute joke and the fact people are defending this (on the other thread about this same thing) is laughable.
Dynamis people have it harder than the rest of the NA DCs on this cuz they are limited to their own DC and everyone invades theirs for S ranks
Come now, it is already scheduled that the restrictions would be lifted with 7.05, under the assumption that by then the peak of people returning only to play the msq would be over. Deviating from that schedule to re-enable that functionality right now already just because the queues have become quieter a little sooner than expected would demand resources of decision making, planning, checking with every other department if that would cause any technical issues with things they are currently bugfixing or running monitors on, then do server management, and all that in the middle of the busy post-patch weeks when they're still doing the bugfixes from 7.0 and 7.01 patches, might be.. a little optimistic of how much manpower and coordination capacity SE employs.
If you were talking about something with a time path of months, I would agree. But we are talking about 11 more days. They are not changing the team to hire extra people to do this, because it takes longer than that to screen, hire and train people.
If anything this is the opposite of the "not a small indie company" argument, this should be the "One does not simple change the production schedule of a whole department in a large organization." A small indie company with a smaller game and less complicated server infrastructure and fewer formal guidelines and internal procedures might actually be *more* responsive in this case.
Trying to move this ahead by less than two weeks, is just not worth how much extra work it will be to change the deployment schedule now.
Should be 11 days. Their original post said it could have been 7.01 but that passed so looks like it will be the Savage patch.
