Your system does not meet the minimum requirements. Your CPU is a Phenom 2, a CPU from 2009. So do not expect, that it will work. :/

I find that hard to believe, since I can run this on my underpowered laptop (granted, only at 10 fps). I could understand sub-standard performance with my hardware, but not crashing like this which occurs after character selection.

i have the same issue, dx_11 errors and game crash. The situation started from last week, even got some BSOD after the game crashes. i did a clean reinstall gpu driver and checked BIOS, but now I keep getting nvgpucomp64.dll errors at multiple random times in a day. This is the first time for me to have a constant game crashing problem, and I never had this before DT. I am getting tired of this issue :(.

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
We do apologize for the inconvenience, however as previously mentioned it appears that your CPU [AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T] does fail to meet the minimum requirement [Intel® Core™ i7-7700]. As such, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that your system will be able to run FINAL FANTASY XIV as it can be a graphically and computationally intensive game.
As this time we may only suggest the following:
- Please try adjusting/lowering the resolution and graphical settings.
- Please try running the game as an administrator.
- Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
- Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive. (If Steam version, make sure both the game and Steam are installed on same drive)
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
- Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable). Additionally, it appears that your GPU [Radeon (TM) RX 480] was last updated on [2/19/2024]. At this time, a newer version should be available.
As your CPU already fails to meet the minimum, if you would like to try and access FINAL FANTASY XIV anyway we would recommend trying to not run any other nonessential programs in the background to allow for ample resources.
