In DT a few jobs (I'll mention aiming since that's what I play) are having issues with their burst now being so long that combos break.
MCH is having this issue, with Full Metal Field, a 2nd charge of Drill and Excavator all being added in DT MCH burst is so long that if we want to double HC under buffs we need to put a combo GCD under potion resulting in lost potency otherwise we break the combo because our 2 minute sequence is longer than 30 seconds.
DNC is also having issues like this. DNC now has to go into burst combo and proc empty otherwise they have a single GCD after buffs to hit the combo or proc from before (if you go in with combo and a proc or 2 procs you will drop one no matter what) before it disappears resulting in lost potency.
If bursts are going to be made longer than combo timers need to also be adjusted to accomodate.
Combos need to be increased from 30 seconds to at least 35

I'm sorry but in what world is a 2min burst longer than a potion buff? Most relevant burst windows are 20s due to buff durations, omegaluling multiple Hypercharge windows into a pot window and not refreshing your combo timer sounds like a weird problem to have.
2x Drill, 1x Air Anchor (assuming alignment), Chainsaw and Excavator, Full Metal Field and then a hypercharge from Barrel Stabilizer with Wildfire in tow. That's about 20s, maybe 21s. The only way I can see you have issues with combo timers is if you insist to follow this up with another Hypercharge at virtually no speed.

Okay sorry if I sound a bit dismissive, but your world is not ending if 1-2 HB land outside of the pot if it means refreshing your GCD combo if you have this many new tools to do more potency compared to ShB and EW. If there is a general damage problem, surely potencies can be adjusted.
30 seconds has been extremely generous to begin with to accomodate for Reaper and Gunbreaker. If we extend it further, I'm starting to question why have combo timers at all - because we will always hit a new breakpoint at some point. At some point your 35s wont be enough because job XYZ will have to postpone their combo for their 40-45s "burst" because for some reason a 45s buff window exists (new potion extension lol). -

Those extra 2 hb's under pot are more potency in buffs which is all the selfish dps exist to do feed buffs. Not to mention if in 8.0 mch gets another tool which seems to be the trend there literally won't be a spot to fit a combo refresh in burst without missing a tool.Quote:

07-18-2024, 12:14 AMHanzz96Dancer also has the problem where you must go into burst without any combo or procs meaning you have to saber dance the GCD before burst otherwise the proc/combo will fall off by the end of burst because it's a dps lose to hit them under buffs now. You have 1 GCD to hit them after tech but if you have combo and a proc (your last GCD before hitting tech can easily and it often a cascade followed by a proc and a combo) you're dropping one of them for a large dps loseQuote:
