REQUEST: Move/Rotate Houses and Entrance Gates

As someone who has been playing the game since A Realm Reborn, it's been impressive to see how far housing has come. Truly recognized as the endgame for Final Fantasy, the team has continuously been updating, upgrading, and implementing new features.

With the introduction of new housing locations (Shirogane and Empyreum), some features showcased in the original three housing wards are discontinued. For example, Lavender Beds and Goblet have Large plots where the gate is located on the side of the house, offering a unique walkway up to the front door of the plot. Nowadays, all new Larges have the same yard where the gate entry is in the middle, which can be slightly boring.

Another challenge we face are the new housing walls being introduced. I love them!
However, with the introduction of the new Country Walls, we now have a beautiful porch hiding in the back that is out of sight (and most likely facing a wall). If it were up to me, I would love to showcase the porch over the original front entry.

That said, I am requesting a change in two (2) features of the exterior capabilities of housing.

I. The option to move/rotate houses within their plot to offer an opportunity to personalize the yards even further.
II. The option to be able to change the location of the entry gate to the yard.

These changes can not only improve the quality of life to the exterior design of housing, but can also allow implementation of exterior housing items to be maximized to their fullest potential. For example, a lot of players will knock on a Small house because it's not a Medium or a Large. They have a fantastic yard; imagine being able to rotate it 90 degrees and adjust where the gate entry is to provide a beautiful walkway instead of trying to curve/zig-zag around the yard. Now they can have something worth keeping.

I’d definitely like to see an option to rotate the house itself. They did that with buildings on the island and it really made a big difference!

I’m not sure if the “gate” entrance could really be rotated, as plots have those steps up to them, and the location varies. For example, on my own plot, other than where the gate already is, my other three sides are a rock wall, a river and a cliff! And the nature of the ward system isn’t going to accommodate moving those front-of-plot steps to such varied terrain.

Besides, if you had the option to rotate the house, that’s really all that’s needed: you can then put whatever side you want facing the entry way.

Being able to rotate a small house on a plot would probably work since the footprint is close to square and there are 2 sections of the yard to work with.

I don't think it will work with mediums at all. I can't think of any mediums that have a side entrance to the plot (relative to the house facing position), just a few that are offset slightly. Trying to rotate the house would put the side (or back) almost directly against the plot entrance.

I also don't think it would work with any larges except those that already have side entrances. You'd run into the same problem as the mediums.

If you're thinking the plot entrance could be moved relative to the house rotation so there's no blocking, unfortunately it couldn't be. That would also require altering part of the common area of the ward to get things to align properly.

This really needs to happen for this particular reason.
I spent 50 million Gil for a large, in a nice location and when I put skins on my house I get this (below if the image loads) happening. There is no reason that this should be on a skin? Where are they testing these skins and how are they not seeing this kind of problem!

Image is of me standing at the gate of the new cottage skin, which is right at the gate of my property.. but it is all off center, far too close and looks very uninviting.
