Mountain Zu Promotion Suggestion

Please make it more clear that you will artificially limit access to promotional mounts during the middle of the promotion period.

I had money and time wasted thinking that when I purchased special edition mountain dews I would get a code that would work for the promotion. This was not the case, I had to wait until the old special editions were very slowly replaced.

Then this weekend I finally find the special edition dews and redeem my codes today to find that the Zu mount is "sold out".

This feels very bad and I do not like this decision. So much so that I am writing everywhere I can think of to tell you how bad this feels.

I think limiting this is a poor and short sighted decision and you have caused me to waste money and put me off from ever participating in these events again.

Same, kinda sucks that I finally got 600 points this weekend only to find out that the mount has "sold out". Will it be refreshed? Guess I can only hope at this point.

Not mentioning that there was a limit on codes was unfair, since if I at least suspected it I would have bought it sooner.
I just got home with my 6 bottles after giving up on finding the 200-point ones nearby, only to discover that the mount is somehow "sold out". And I don't really care about anything else in the promotion, so... yeah...

Wait, they "ran out"? That is asinine, especially since they shipped so many bottles and codes out. A time limit I can understand, but an artificial scarcity? Nah, that is shady.

I recently purchased multiple products for myself and my friends to use the codes for the Mountain Zu promotion. To my immense disappointment, I discovered that the digital item is sold out.

It is incredibly frustrating that there was no clear communication about the artificial limitation on access to promotional mounts, especially during the middle of the promotion period. I wasted both money and time, believing that purchasing the special edition Mountain Dew would guarantee a code that works for the promotion.

I hope Square Enix's marketing team can rectify this issue and reconsider their approach to such promotions in the future.

This is so unfortunate. I too just got the 600 points and was hoping to spend them today, but now it is showing as sold out. I didn't see anywhere that there was a limited amount of codes. This is not right, I hope square enix adds more codes. All we were told is that it ends july 14th, nothing else.

That is ridiculous, I hope it's an oversight and the situation is remedied.

Like this expansion needed any more hate for dumb decisions. How do you have limited supplies of a DIGITAL GOOD. Of all the absurd things. But what can I expect from the company that purged all of my rewards points when they migrated their store servers and you can't even get a hold of somebody to get them back.

I'm tired of Square Enix shoving in game items on processed garbage anyway. If people want to eat crappy candy bars and chug liquid poison and eat MSG noodles because they enjoy it, whatever. Their life, who am I to deprive them of simple pleasures. But don't actively encourage a bunch of people engaging in an already sedentary hobby to consume MORE of it with the promise of shiny items. And to add insult to injury, now people just purchased a bunch of trash soft drink for something they can't even get within the promotional period. So either they pour that swill down the train and literally waste money, try and return a few bottles of open Mountain Dew to the supermarket like a weirdo, give it away and hope somebody is willing to drink a bunch of opened soda, or suck it up and commit to consuming about 360 grams of sugar that's getting flatter and flatter with each passing hour.
Waste of money, waste of time, waste of energy, and waste of whatever mystery liquid Mountain Dew is made of.

Just put my two cents in here. My local gas station didn't have these supplies even weeks after the promotion began, only recently did they acquire them.

As the mounts are digital goods, they should be acquirable until the end of the promotion, which is tomorrow. That's just common sense. Just provide an unlimited amount of keys until the end of the promotion, and you won't face any backlash from this. It's really simple.

My guess is that it's a licensing issue. Maybe SE's deal with Pepsi only allowed them so many "sales", and they ended up hitting that limit early.
