I have noticed that the English localisation for the action Starry Muse of the Pictomancer mentions an effect that is not referred anywhere else:

I assume Subtractive Spectrum is a typo as the French localisation uses Subtractive Palette there.

This is not an error. Subtractive Spectrum is a resource buff that allows you to cast the action Subtractive Palette for 0 paint. Subtractive Spectrum is applied in lieu of adding 50 paint to your gauge, so that you can always use Subtractive Palette whenever you activate Starry Muse but using Starry Muse never causes you to overcap your paint.
The French localization does not call it Subtractive Palette; it calls it Subtractive Palette Ready.

Ah yes, that makes sense, thank you for explaining. I got confused because the buff is not documented inside the spell, nor referred anywhere else so I could not figure out what it did, and I skipped the extra word in the French version so understood what it did better. I really, REALLY wish the tooltips were written better.
Some are just messy to me (there is a single viper tooltip that references 10 other abilities/buffs in its tooltip to describe what its supposed to do) or reference things that do not exist in the Actions and Traits list at all.
There are so many abilities and buffs that you cannot read about or learn about in game, save for going to a training dummy and mousing over the buff or debuff icon when you trigger it quickly before it disappears, then waiting long cooldowns to do it again if you missed anything.
With the actions page getting the "Actions (Unassignable)" bottom page (which is great!), it seems like they could put something similar at the bottom of traits so descriptions of what does what are represented in game.
