Im on windows and since dawntrail released i crash every time i try to load into a city. I have tried everything i can find to try and fix it and have not found a solution, including updating drivers, chipsets, and many more. Any help is appreciated.

What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/PS4 etc.)
At what point does the issue occur?
How often does the issue occur?
Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
When the crash happens, is the PC over heating at all?
Were any update or changes made to the PC around the time of the crash?
Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?
All steps taken to resolve the issue:
Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.

Adding my voice to this. My original post, after submitting a bug report, is on Kiiari's thread.
There is an entire group of players who have been completely UNABLE TO PLAY, for not being able to go the cities. Any character that attempted to move to a city (if they are like mine) fatally crash the game when attempting to log into them. Any character that attempts to move to a city causes (the same) a fatal crash.

Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters? I only have one character. When testing after a clean reinstall i tested the trial version by making a new account on Dynamis, with the same results.

All steps taken to resolve the issue: Clean reinstall of drivers and chipsets, clean reinstall of the game, adjusting settings to both minimum and optimal, running as administrator, attempted other data centers, created new characters on other data centers, Tested multiple regions in-game. Nothing has worked. I have a trusted friend who helped me test areas by moving me to the FC house, and was able to play a minimal amount as the lockout of cities greatly hampers my ability to progress.
Here is the system information. My pc is a bit old, but it ran fine before Dawntrail, and runs fine in any other locations that are not a city or Highly populated area.

Upon further review, it appears that your CPU [AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645] may fall below the minimum CPU System Requirements (Intel® Core™ i7-7700 or higher) for FINAL FANTASY XIV outlined here:

If your system does not meet the minimum System Requirements, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that the game will be able to successfully run on your system. At this time we may only suggest best practices to try and make it as easy as possible for the game to run. Please try the following:
- Update the drivers for your graphics card. It appears that your GPU [NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050] driver was last updated on [6/24/2024], at this time a newer version should be available.
- Additionally, as previously mentioned programs with an overlay may cause communication errors. It appears that you may still be running [NVIDIA GeForce Overlay] in the background, please try disabling this program to see if it helps.
- Please try adjusting/lowering the resolution as well as the general overall graphics setting.
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
- Disable Full Screen Optimizations. To disable this, please find the "ffxiv_dx11.exe" and right click it and select properties. Then under the compatibility tab there will be a check box labeled "Disable Full Screen Optimizations". Check it and click apply.

Thats what I was worried you'd say. The suggested steps did not fix the issue, but im in the works of updating my cpu. I guess thats case closed for me, but please be aware that many others are experiencing similar issues.
