Is Duty Finder's "Join Party in Progress" feature broken?

Sorry if there's another thread about this. I didn't wanna read too much on the forums to avoid potential spoilers. I tried rejoining a group of my friends in the level 93 dungeon after I asked them to kick me out due to internet issues. When I got back online, I tried to rejoin them since they hadn't gotten anyone. It's been over 15 minutes, and neither was I able to join them, nor did they get anyone.

Anyone else facing this issue?

It's quite likely that the game won't allow "a person who was kicked out by the party" to rejoin the same party again.

But they also didn't get anyone else and had to finish the dungeon with 3 people only. We had finished the mobs after the first boss when my internet issues started.

That just means that nobody else queued during that time period with "join in progress" active and the ability to join that high level dungeon, or perhaps if they did, they got scared off by the high running time so far. It's also possible that MSQ players don't want to join a new story dungeon halfway through, and it is quite likely that people are playing with trust NPCs at this point.

In any case – regardless of your specific niche circumstances – most parties who have just kicked someone will have done so because they don't want that person in their party, and it would make no sense for the system to put the same person back in just so the party has to kick them again.

Iscah is right, if you are kicked, you can't rejoin, and if there is nobody else in the queue then your party won't get a replacement. You can get sucked into any other group needing your role.

It has always worked that way. If you DC, you relogin and you end up back in the party you were in. That's why most of the time when someone is shown as DC'd in a duty (eg alliance raids) they aren't kicked, because it's assumed they will be right back. If however they aren't back by like the next boss, then usually the vote kick is initiated.

As for "join party in progress" it's very hard to join a party in progress unless you know one is there (Eg via your FC or the Mentor channel)

also if someone leaves the party leader is asked if the game shall search for a replacement. if he says no then noone will join

you can do that manually by pushing 'p'
