How do you tell when you should be stacking Craftsmanship/Magic Craftsmanship?

I'm utterly confused as to which I should be stacking. As an Armorer I figured it would be Craftsmanship - M.Cratf would be for things like Weaver or alchemist.

But I figured it's kind of silly that each class only has 2 stats to up - Control/Craft of MCraft.

So is it on a recipe basis? Some recipes require MCraft while some require Craft?

And if so, how do I tell?

It is based on each recipe, yes. Each different recipe is based either on Craft, M.Craft or a mix of both. At least that is what experience on the forums seem to be.

Sadly, there is no way, at all, to actually tell. There ought to be some logic underneath it all and people have been trying to find it, to no real avail.

Stack one, boom a lot, try the other. If the synth feels smoother, you have your answer.

You can also tell by how much higher your quality goes between the two stats. If you stack the correct one you see a huge difference in quality gains on similar level/higher level synths.
