You know, I was one of those people who didn't really care for this, but after getting some of the new officer stuff a lot of my old GC gear is completely irrilevant.

I would also like to see this. I have some old gear that I'm too high to use, but just don't want to throw away.
I belive this request was passed on to SE by a rep in a past thread. Wan't able to find the thread yet but i'm sure its there somewhere. Not sure if we recived an answer yet.

Yeah, at least a deposit/incentive for recycling instead of throwing... This is an environmental matter after all.
There was a thread about this actually. I'm not gonna go dig for it because its a really old post but pretty much the devs said they were looking into the plausibility of doing it. Guessing they have to find an ideal return rate and make sure it's exploit-proof or something.
And the responses here, so far, have been surprisingly positive. I posted in the other thread (a few times) and alot of people complained about 'giving away seals'. I wholly support this, by the way, because it is a waste to just have to throw away items when they're no longer viable. We can cash in NM drops, dungeon drops, primal drops... but not old company gear?
I completely agree with this. They release new GC items that make out old stuff completely useless it's only fair.
